New photos
First an update, then some photos.
Mason had another physical therapy session yesterday and the therapist was gushing over his progress and over how well he has been doing. He is eating great (thanks Granny for the awesome new foods) and is learning how to stand and pick things up to eat. It sure seems like he will be a big boy soon! (Praise God!!!)
So, anyway, lets get on to the good stuff!
This photo is more for comparisson of hairstyles between he and I. God has a real sense of humor ha ha.

He LOVES to hang upside down. We cleared this with the physical therapist and I can assure you that no harm is done during his stunts........I have come to accept that if he isnt going to be a left handed pitcher, he will be Batman.......either way! This photo is more for comparisson of hairstyles between he and I. Little man really likes being outside with Granny. Perhaps he will be a camper?
Yummmmmmm!
Tough to tell who is happier here. Great photo
Finally got one where he is all smiles
He has turned into a very curious little boy. Between his roaming and exploring all his toys, hs has his head on a swivel to make sure he is taking in everything going on. He does not want to miss a thing.
Before
And after.
That is about that, not all that much left to report. The weather here is good enough to keep getting him out for walks and such. He takes a good walk just about every day if the weather permits. He is still sleeping through the night and things are progressing according to God's design.
Granny leaves for home tomorrow. Little man will be sleeping through it as she takes off, but we will listen for the plane to fly overhead and will run him out for waves and blown kisses. Safe flight Granny and see you soon. Thanks for everything!

I AM IRON MAN
Mason had his 9 month check up today (he is 10 months old.......don't ask ha ha) and all is going fairly well. He weiged in at 16 pounds 9 ounces and was 25 1/2 inches long. He is turning into quite the little man..........
The only "bad" news is that he is deficient in iron so we have been given some iron drops (that he is said to be going to HATE with every fiber of his being) to give him 2 times a day and so we will see if that helps get his iron count up a bit.
He is continuing to eat well. He has taken to eating more baby food meats, even though they smell awful, and he is even experimenting with disolve in the mouth finger foods and some fruits through a mesh sleeve to protect him from choking. He did have his first choking moment when Dad decided that he might like plum juice. Rather than put some plum juice on my finger or anything intelligent, I figured I would let him suck some juice off the plum I was eating. He got a little chunk (I didn't know it, of course) and he got this paniced look on his face and so I sprung into back slapping action. Crisis was easily averted and he was immediately putting things back in his mouth so I am guessing the emotional toll it might have took on him was nil.
Anyway, not a whole lot else to report. He has been taking a walk almost daily and even got his first action on the swings..........check the photos and we will be back later!

Beach Bum
Wanna know what a couple of people do after being cooped up indoors for about 9 months in some of the worst weather in the area in years? WE GO TO THE BEACH!!!!!!
Okay, maybe it wasn't a proper beach as it was more rocks and grass, but it was a lake and not the Bahamas, after all. Rattlesnake lake was the lake of choice for this excursion. We took the little man and Granny up on a beautiful summer day and caught some rays.
Check out the photos............
Hope you enjoyed the photos as much as we did making them. Be back soon!

I'm a Patriot
Happy birthday America! It is time once again to blow stuff up in the name of freedom! Since I don't do a whole lot of fireworks, I would suggest seeking out a service man or woman and thank them for what they do to keep today what it is for a bunch of us. Little man got dressed in his best USA duds and did his best to represent for all of us. Check out the photos below of Mason's first 4th of July. Many more to come little man!
Just about all of the 50 photos of him in his USA duds are similar to this one. He sure looks excited ha ha! Perhaps he will be cheering against Davis Love III in the Ryder Cup this year?
Apparently I only own one shirt. My sister was right!
Even the bib today was occasional. Nice choice Mommy!
Well all, not a whole lot to say other than Happy 4th. Mason is doing well. He is still growing (up to 15 1/2 pounds now) and has been active as can be. For those that have wondered, he has even discovered crying. LUCKY US! It was too much to think that we might get through the whole thing without.....in fact it would have been downright strange so it is actually a bit settling that crying has occurred.
God bless you all and take care. We will be back soon!

Catching up
Sorry for the delay in posting. Things have been busy around the homestead lately so time has been a touch short here and there. Julie is working new hours and I have been leading a push to collect signatures for a new initiative for this years election so things have kept us running.
But you don't want to hear about us.........you want details on THE LITTLE MAN!!!!!!!!
So first things first, little man had his physical therapy session with a couple great people here at the house. They both gushed at his progress in comparison to what they usually see out of children under similar "Mason conditions."
They ran him through a few drills to check he skeletal movement and such and gave us a couple movements that will help him roll over easier and teach his body how to do some motions needed for his continued development. As soon as they left he was bushed and went straight to sleep. Perhaps he takes after his old man in that regard?
The very next day, Granny taught him how to roll over from his back to his belly and life has really changed...........he is a rolling machine now. We have no video yet because he still tends to ham it up off camera only to clam up on. Soon!
Granny time has been great for the little man. He is reading, eating new foods (Granny has been making some new foods for him including chicken and avocado dishes) chewing everything in sight, and generally loving every minute of her visit. Thanks Granny!
He received a big box of new clothes courtesy of his Las Vegas "uncle" Kareem. Some of these duds are sharp so he will be looking good. Kareem has a baby boy right now and is expecting a second child with his wife late this year or early next year. Prayers for his family and a HUGE thank you for your support and generosity.
Other than that, all is well. Mason is no longer sick and is doing really well. Thank you all for your support and love. Mason is very blessed to have you all following his life and providing him with so much love. Thank you!
I am sorry to say there are no new photos and videos are still posing a problem in uploading so here are a few "older" photos...............enjoy!
