Peas on Monday

This past Monday River got to move on from Rice Cereal to vegetables. First up was PEAS!

I would say they were a BIG hit! He is getting very good at opening him mouth to let me get the spoon in. There is still lots coming out but he gets most of it into his belly : )

The local police department put on a bike safety day today so we decided to check it out. They had different booths set up from check your helmet to get your bike checked out to bike obstacle course and others. When we got there Mason decided he no longer wanted anything to do with the fun......once I finally got him settled we started. Well that lasted until the first stop where he was given a new helmet because his old one was cracked! This set him into a complete tail spin.... After lots of minutes and more tears I threw in the towel and we enjoyed the bouncy houses and ate hotdogs!

Once we were done we headed back to our friends house to have fun in the sun and have dinner together.

We tried out our new water balloons that tie themselves! ......they worked alright

We sure had a blast even with the tears. What a busy weekend we had AND what a busy week we have coming up........lots to post to come as the events unfold!

A Day in The Grass

Today we went to a friends birthday party and while Mason was off having a blast in the bounce house, slip-n-slide, pool and swing set River and I enjoyed the grass!

These days River does not stay on his back long

And just like that got himself onto the grass

He loved pulling it....

and even sucking his thumb and eating grass at the same time

Chip Tooth Repair

Today was the day to have Mason's chipped tooth repaired........He was a bit nervous but by time all was said and done he did amazing and never had any moments of hesitation or melt downs.

First he got to be a "fighter pilot" and watch a movie while Dr. Cody worked on his tooth!

All done and getting TWO toys because he did so GREAT!

What a great first filling Mason had.....hopefully we wont need anymore for a long time but if we do hopefully he will remember how easy it was and that it was a piece of cake!!!

In other news we have a toy stealer on our hands......

River decided he needed to play with Mason's Paw Patrol dog!! Luckily Mason likes to share with his brother!

Rice Cereal

Today River had his first taste of food!

Rice cereal.....

First bite

.......Seems to like it

Even got some in his mouth!

Then River thought he was a pro and took the spoon...

but the reality was the bib was much more fun and tasty!

Once he finished, he was ready to take on the coffee cup!

All worn out from eating!

On a side note Mason has an ear infection.....today at the doctor he weighed in at 33 lbs and 40 1/2 inches tall.

Summer Time

Well today it was projected to hit 93 degrees. I am not sure the offical temp but the car read 92 at one point! But I am not here to discuss the weather and really all that needs to be said it that it was hot and very sunny today so this is what we did......
