Our Saturday

I had decided that today we were going to go to the zoo.  Earlier this week I had checked the weather and it was suppose to be beautiful all weekend.......well this morning was a different story....it was windy and a bit chilly.  Of course that was not going to stop us!  I packed our rain jackets just in case the 30% chance of rain was WRONG!  During the winter months the zoo cuts back their week day activities and continues to have more on the weekends.  I have been promising Mason for weeks that we would go on the weekend so that he could see the birds fly.....so off we went.

 To start all we needed was a hat.....

 The zookeeper was cleaning the water with a net and Mason thought it was so cool.

 He wanted to touch the glass

 He did not want to take a picture with me!

 Then there was a light drizzle.

 Putting his vote token in the Elephant slot!

 He was SOOOOOO excited that the zoo worker gave him a token to ride the carousel for free!

 The otters were sleeping.

 Mason learned to read the map.....like he does not know the zoo like the back of his hand!

And as soon as the show started so did the rain!!!! We were soaked by time it was over BUT it was well worth it!
