Long time coming

So as many of you know and some of you don't know, at the beginning of July Tom and I decided that I was going to pursue one of my lifelong dreams and become a stay at home mom! As hard as it was to see myself not driving an hour to work each way each day (ha ha ha) and watching other people's children learn to swim, I hung up my whistle and dove into being a stay at home mom. I knew it was not going to be a cake walk but I can honestly say that so far I have not thought once about our decision for me to quit. These first few weeks have been busy with visitors (as you will soon see) but none the less I think we are all starting to settle into our new and improved family roles.

The first weekend that I no longer had to be to work by 6:30am one of my closest friends got married. Born and raised in the Seattle area she decided to get married here (awesome for us as we got to sleep in our own beds each night!). So with that said we had a weekend full of fun and festivities!!! There were several people up from Vegas that I had not seen since I had gotten married! Mason had never met any of these people and did great with all the new faces. He still tells me stories daily of someone or something that we did that weekend.

Since Las Vegas does not have much of a zoo we decided to take Wynter and her family to the Zoo......As you can see below we had lots of fun. Mason just loved Wynter and I think that it is safe to say that the arranged marriage is still on as of this time : )
**** it is had to get two toddlers to both look good in the same picture

Then it was wedding day.... and I have to say that the bride looked just beautiful! Here is a shot of the girls...sad to say it is really the only one. I was not a good picture taker this weekend : (

The kiddos had fun at the beach after the wedding (well until Wynter decided to face plant in to the sound!)

Thanks for a fun filled weekend Danielle and Rob.....Congrats!!!!!

All Aboard

Today we got the chance to visit the Tacoma Rail open house. It is a public railroad not to far from home. We met up with a friend David and had a blast. we got up early so that we would have the day to spend at the train yard. Mason had a blast climbing on the trains, waving at the trains and even letting his mommy pull the emergency brake! That last one was a mistake that had all the workers running. (it was a very loud bang and not suppose to happen!) All in all we have an AWESOME day. All that was missing was Daddy!
