Hunt Hunt Hike!

Mason just adores the neighborhood boys.  One in particular is his all-time favorite, Parker.  We have done lots of things with Parker and today we got to go cheer him on playing football!

We dressed for the wet weather!
We had to go around a down tree in the road but nothing was going to stop us!
The boys watching the game.......
Think again the CHEERLEADERS!
Go number 44!
After the last minute win!!!
We made it home safe and sound and the storm let up about halfway through the game.  We were covered the whole time though so it did not bother us : )
The icing on the cake was when we got home we had power! (And it had never gone out)

Hey Batter Batter

As luck would have it, when we went to the baseball game with Uncle Jonathan a few weeks ago, I guessed the amount of baseballs in a box.  Now I never come close to ever being right let along winning but we had fun making our guesses.  About a week later, on Mason's birthday, I received an email telling me I made the closest guess and had won tickets to an upcoming game!  Well tonight was the night.  It was fan appreciation night so there were all kinds of free give aways and a FIREWORKS show after the game.   As the pictures show Mason had a blast and yes he is in LOVE with the Mariners Moose!!!!!  The best by far was the wait to see the fireworks.  Mason loves to watch them light up the sky.

We were very close to the third base line.
Cheering with the Moose on the visitors dugout!
Getting a Moose tattoo
Hanging out in the Moose Den.  Mason insisted that I just take the picture and he would stand by the Moose!
Of course we had to watch the trains for a bit.
Good night all!!!!!

Elephant Feeding

As many of you know we spend many days at our local zoo.  There is always something new to discover and explore.  Today was no different.

We started off with a ride on the carousel. Then headed to the ducks.
Walked through the bamboo forest.
Got really close to the peacock.
Made elephant poo paper.
Watched the baby lions (Mason's current favorite animal)
Fed the birds all by himself!
Watched the bird show.

And then.............

FED THE ELEPHANT!

He held the bamboo for her to grab and eat.
The keeper giving Mason his second stalk.
The face says it all.....
He LOVED it!

Fall is here!

We went for a bike ride a few days ago at Rattlesnake Lake.  It was fun to ride around and check out all the signs that  fall is coming.

We were just here swimming a week ago and now all the stumps are out of the water!
He is a pro on his bike.  We went about halfway around the lake before turning around and he biked the whole time!
This kid LOVES ice cream cones!

Story Time

Today we headed to the local library to join story time.  I have to admitt that this is one activity that I was excited to be able to do now that I am not working.

Mason sat by me the whole time and did get up and participate a bit towards the end.  Hopefully as time goes on he will feel more and more comfortable to leave me behind!

It  was b day so we read bear books, bus books and lots of fun b songs!  We even decided to check out as few books to read until next week!

Birthday Fun

After dropping off Uncle Jonathan off at the airport I headed home with a special birthday treat.

We decided to go down to the Issaquah fish hatchery to watch the King Salmon jump up the fish ladder.  We got there just in time to watch them open the gates.  It was amazing to see these very large fish move through the ladder.

Here is a video of them opening these gates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMXNEP49UbM&feature=youtube_gdata_player  If you look closely to the picture you can see the fish going underneath them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRBBE3XhVbI&feature=youtube_gdata_player

And of course we visited the park!
Here's a video of Mason going down the slide. I love how his personality is developing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHmP0G2m9ls&feature=youtube_gdata_player
