Over the river and through the woods to Granny's house we go

Mason and I had an awesome trip to OHIO to visit Granny, Grandpa and Uncle Jonathan. Enjoy the recap in photos.........
Mason getting ready to board the plane.  (4am and still happy)

Mason sleeping on the plane.

He is already an experienced flier.

Looking out the window.

Playing with the tray table.

It rained all night so we woke up to the backyard flooded.

We went to school to learn with the Kindergartners.

We danced our way through a bear hunt.

Ate cheese puffs with Grandpa.

Shared the extra cheese with Uncle Jonathan.

The rain stopped and Grandpa needed a tree cut down......

We let Uncle Jonathan do the hard work while we played in the leaves.

Even Mom got in on the action.

Took a walk...

Got to swing on Mommy's baby swing.

Ate a donut.

And ended the trip with a visit to Cedar Point!!!!!

Hope you enjoyed the recap.  We did also see Great Grandma but I don't have any of those pictures yet so I will share some more pictures once I get them.  Thanks for such a great visit Granny, Grandpa and Uncle Jonathan!  We can't wait to see you all again really really soon.

Coming home!

Sorry for the lack of posts.

Julie and Mason have been out of town visiting family in Ohio for the last few days. I have been here working and hanging out and generally missing the heck out of them. We were able to Skype together once and it was kind of strange seeing them through a computer. I wanted so badly to grab them both and hug and tickle the little man.

At any rate, they are coming home tonight and I am STOKED!!!!!!!!! While we wait for their arrival (and wonderful photos of the trip I am sure) lets check some new photos from the last week or so.........enjoy!

He sure is growing and still, apparently, loves to put things in his mouth. Perhaps a trip to Ohio will change that............I am not holding my breath. I miss you little man and can't wait to see you. Have fun with Granny, Gramps, and Uncle Johnathan...........see you soon!

Here Comes Trouble

Tonight, while skyping with Granny, Mason took his first 4 independent steps!  Of course in true Mason fashion every time I tried to video it he would buckle under the pressure.  Just for fun here is one of the attempts!

Feeling better

Little man is feeling better. His eye is still a tad pink and his fever comes and goes, but things are getting much better.

Some new photos for you to check out!

Mason LOVES the park up by our house. He loves the swings and always wants to ring the bell when he goes for a walk up there.

Putting that stuff in your mouth won't end well for you little man!
He's starting to stand on his own........walking on his own will be along soon we are sure.
 Found Mommy's craft stuff!
 "She won't mind Daddy........trust me."

Visible proof of the tooth coming in. It is on the bottom on his right side in the front.
 Do you see it?

Helping Mommy decorate!

Hope everyone is well and keeing warm as the weather changes. We are doing our best to hang onto summer but it is slipping away, sadly. We will be back soon. God bless!

Got a sick little boy

Well, he is human after all.

We were beginning to think that he inhereted his mothers genes. Julie rarely, if ever, gets sick. Sadly, he might have some of me in that department after all.

Little man has a virus that has got him pretty good. He is very tired, very lethargic, very clingy (which is actually adorable) and is just not himself much. He has been running a fever of up to 101 so we took him in and the verdict is...............

Pink Eye.

Turns out that he has a rash on his back and chest and his left eye is starting to redden in the corners. There is not a whole lot that can be done for him in terms of medication as his eyes are just reddening and are not oozing or anything like that. The doctor sent us home with strict orders........Children's Tylenol every 4 hours if he is awake and lots of sleep and fluids.

He had lost 2 ounces of weight in the last 4 days due to this thing so we are trying like crazy to get him to take extra bottles for fluids.

He will be fine, and he is taking this as well as we could possibly imagine. He is still smiling and, for the most part, pretty unaffected. He is certainly wondering why he is so tired as he goes down for an extra nap ha ha. He looks up with a "Is this supposed to happen?" look that is just cute as can be.

Feel better Mason, we love you!
