Three Month Weight Check

Today River had his three month weight check........

He is growing like a weed......
Here are his stats:
Height: 22.5" 25-50%
Head circumference: 38.75 cm 5-10%
Weight: 10 lbs 9 oz <5%
These are all based on his birthday they do not adjust to his due date.

Dr. Spiegel was very happy with his growth (mostly his weight). We no longer have to use the higher calorie formula in the breastmilk.  We can actually just breastfeed and skip bottles all together!!!!  I am very excited about this......River loves to nurse and is really good at it.  I just hope that my body steps ups and starts produce enough milk for him to not need any supplementing.

Full of smiles these days!!!

Mason celebrated for River by having a special treat!!

Happy 3 Months River!!!!!

Yup three months have come and gone!  You are full of smiles this month and love to watch whatever your brother is doing.  You enjoy laying on your playmat and swatting at the toys even if it is all accidental!  The swing is also a place you enjoy being. Your "happy spit ups" have been decreasing this month even though your milk intake has been increasing.  You now are officially drinking 110 mL or just shy of 4oz every 3 hours during the day and every 3 to 5 at night.  You are a total Mama's boy and love to be held and snuggled all day long.  You are sleeping between 4 and 6 hours at a time at night.  You have even done a few 8 hour stretches!  You are still wearing newborn size clothes but not for much longer!  Monday we have an officially weight check and I am guessing you will weigh in over 10 lbs!  In the last few days you have also discovered your hands and have started to "suck" your thumb as well as sticking out your thing and a bit of baby babble has also started.

Is It Really Still March?

Cause this happened today......

Don't worry it was 70 degrees!!!
 Even River enjoyed the outside!

This morning we went on another walk and ended up at the library.
We checked out a few books and a movie...
Yup it was fun!

Mason used our bird book while we were walking to spot birds!
Oh yeah and we went to his new favorite park again.....Look what I finally caught on camera : )
 Yup we have a smiler!!!

A Special Morning

Once breakfast was finished this morning I took the boys on a suprise trip.  We walked and walked and walked and made it to the donut shop!!!

Mason picked out the donuts....
And Mommy got a coffee and Mason a tea....What a chocolate bar looks like after Mason is done with it!  When we were done we started back home.  We took a different way and found this park!!!!
It was the PERFECT size for Mason......I foresee us going to this one A LOT!!!!!
We had a great time visiting a few more before ending at the far park.  Mason can now climb the ladder and get on the platform by himself.  Next time we are there I will get a picture.....he is getting very independent : )  While we were there, River decided it was time to eat and I got to soak up this cute little bear!
When we got home Bree and Jackson's ball was stuck in the tree so we helped them get it out and got three more stuck in the process!!! We finally got smart and got my long pole to knock them out!
Mason has started to ask to hold River.....it is so sweet to watch their bond grow.
Drawing a map tonight....
and finally practicing his bow and arrow...he can now load it all by himself.
Just a few random happenings from our day to day♡

4 Parks

Yesterday we beat the rain and ventured to not one, not two, not three but FOUR parks!!!!

We started at the close park where Mason made a friend with a little boy who he played soccer with!

Then we headed past the far park to the TALL slide park.  It was empty except for us!
Then we were off to the tree park when Mommy made the wrong turn and we ended up at the Y park!  Ooooops.   Now this park was busy but we still managed to ride the airplane AND swing on the BIG kid swing!

Mason is still working on the pumping but it's a start!  Finally after we were done climbing and swinging we were off to the tree park!
Of course he rode the Firetuck. ...
and down the slide a few times.  Thankfully Daddy met us so we could get River home to eat since we had stayed out so long AND got so far from home!  Oh yeah and because of the ride home we got home about two minutes before the rain started!!!!!
Those four parks wore us all out : )  And today we get to sit inside and watch the rain continue to fall!

Today's Adventure

So River proved me wrong last night and was up at his usual 2:30am time to eat!  Guess we will just have a few more (or many more) late night feedings!  Truth be told I am not sure I am totally ready to give them up yet either......maybe he could stay my baby forever ; )

On to today's adventure........
We spent a few hours at one of Mason's favorite spots.......
 Rattlesnake Lake!
Even River was having fun!
Spring is here....everything is turning GREEN!
The water level is higher then when we were here this past fall BUT it is still much lower then normal springs (thanks to the very very mild winter we had!)
We threw lots of rocks!
Watched lots of fish jump and birds fly around.  We even got to see a wood pecker getting bugs out of a tree very close by!

Did I mention we threw rocks???!!!!
Boys and their sticks.  Never fails he ends up with at least one while outside playing!!!

Luck?

Last night after our adventurous day everyone was pretty tired.  Mason and Tom went up to snuggle very shortly after getting home.  I fed River and did a bit of clean up and by 9:30 River was sound asleep.  The best part of the story......he slept until 6am!!!!!!!!  Now he has been doing 6 hour stretches for a good week but I was not expecting the 8 1/2 hr stretch last night.  Here's to hoping for the luck of the Irish tonight and that we start a trend.....

Speaking of Irish......Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Mother of the year award to me.  The boys wore jammies all day and no cute holiday outfits.  Just another thing River can hold against me in the future......no first St. Patrick's day outfit!

The only green.....
but we had a great lazy day today!

A group shot from yesterday!
 Tom's awesome Seattle skyline picture!

A First For Us All

Tom worked 6 days last week so that ment we got him an extra day this week.  So today we decided to take advantage and go on an adventure!  We decided to take a ferry ride across the Sound to Bainbridge Island......a first for us all! Driving on
Parked and ready for the 30 minute ride
Goodbye Seattle
Mason taking "good shots"
Three of the four of us
Let the adventure begin!
So we were hoping to find a cool ocean front park with amazing views and a park......well we found the park....
All the beach front was private property so we went to a Children's Museum to play.....
The upstairs "science" area
The pirate tree house
Exploring the microscope
 Making a kite
The downstairs had different areas......
The bank
Construction zone
Super market
 Outside rock wall
Yup he did it all by himself!!!
 Heading back to Seattle....
We all had a great time on the ferry.  It was such a beautiful day.  We got lots of great pictures of the Sound and Seattle skyline. Those pictures will have to wait.....all the fresh air has wiped us all out......goodnight!
